What exactly is Reactivation?

Reactivation is a method based on energetic analysis and optimization of the body.
Reactivation is a form of Integrative Medicine based on helping people attain a greater sense of wellness which is meaningful in the healing process.
Reactivation takes a holistic perspective on wellness by looking at the body as one whole system.
Technique involves assessing the body for weaknesses and then correcting them with a light touch.
This technique works with the mind, body and biomagnetic system to help restore balance.
The theory behind Reactivation is that a balanced system is a healthier system.
The goal of Reactivation is to help the body get into the best position to function and perform at it’s best.

What are the Benefits of Reactivation?

May help with healing from injury (regular citizens to professional athletes).
May help with acute and chronic pain of all types.
May help promote relaxation and sense of wellness.
May help get body into a healthier position to function and heal.
May help with balancing hormones.

What Reactivation is Not

Reactivation is not like Reiki. We do not channel divine energy for healing purposes.
Reactivation is not like acupuncture or acupressure. We never uses needles.
It is not like chiropractic as there is no manipulation or cracking of the spine or any bone or joint.
It is not a massage as we do not use deep tissue strokes and our clients always stay fully clothed.
It is not physical therapy as we do not use any myofascial release or machines.
We do not use any stretching techniques or use any strength training equipment.
You do not even need to be a believer. Skeptics can still get great results.

Do I need to stop all other treatments while getting Reactivated?

Absolutely not.
The Reactivation Practitioner will never tell you to stop any other treatment.
This is not a substitute for any traditional medical care.
Always listen to your physician and physical therapist first. Reactivation can be a very helpful adjunct to many other treatments.

What Happens during a typical first session?

A medical questionnaire is completed and discussed.
Each session last about 50 minutes.
Gentle strength testing of specific body parts.
Light touch to different points on the body.
The practitioner will start an in depth assessment procedure looking to determine precise weaknesses.
Once they are discovered, we use our gentle focused touch method reactivating the weaknesses.
At this point we can reassess to make sure the desired result was attained.

What should I expect after the session?

In many cases, clients feel an immediate improvement with a noticeable decrease in their symptoms.
Some dizziness can be normal as clients get up from the table after laying down for an hour.
In some cases the symptoms have lasted for 24 to 48 hours.
Some feel very grounded while others can feel like they are light.
Some people report some soreness a day or two later which usually only last a day or two maximum.

How long do the results last?

How long the results last depends on numerous factors.
There are thousands of muscles and systems that can be Reactivated. In a typical 50 minute session, we can reactivate 50 – 100 of them.
We will reactivate what we think are the most important weaknesses that the patient’s body shows us.
In many cases, we may get the root cause right away and get the body to heal itself rapidly.
Sometimes it may take a few sessions.
It is our goal to solve problems in as few sessions as possible.
On average, our clients get better in anywhere between 1 and 3 sessions.

What other important things do I need to know about the sessions?

Please do not wear short dresses or skirts!
Exercise or any other comfortable clothing is the best choice.
Our patients always stay fully clothed.
You will be lying on a massage table for most of the session.
If lying down is uncomfortable, the session can be done in whatever position is most comfortable for you.
We only touch each point gently for about 5 seconds.
Everyone is unique in their sensitivity.
Reactivation does not have to hurt at all. If anything ever feels uncomfortable, please tell the practitioner.
Our sessions should never make a situation worse.
